Dumpster Compaction FAQ Austin: Common Questions
Compaction itself does not add weight—it compresses the material already in your container. However, because compaction creates additional usable space, adding more material afterward can increase the container’s total weight. We consider the type of material being compacted and recommend staying within your waste hauler’s applicable weight limits.
Will compaction make my dumpster overweight?
No long-term contract is required for standard service, and there are no hidden fees. You simply pay for the services you schedule, plus applicable sales tax and any clearly disclosed service or travel fees. Larger commercial accounts with customized or volume pricing may require a service agreement based on their specific needs.
Are there any contracts or hidden fees?
We can compact many common materials including general waste, cardboard, wood, pallets, plastics, some metals, glass, fiberglass, packaging material and construction debris.
Concrete, brick, dirt, roofing shingles, structural steel, hazardous materials, liquids, chemicals, pressurized containers and other prohibited waste cannot be compacted. If you're unsure about a material, contact us before service and we'll confirm whether it can be safely compacted.
What materials can and cannot be compacted?
Yes. Cen-Tex Compaction works alongside your existing waste hauler, so there's no need to change providers. We compact the material already inside your open-top container between scheduled hauls. If you're experiencing issues with your current waste service, we highly recommend Modern Waste Disposal as a trusted local hauling option.
Can I keep my current waste hauler?
